Is there any cost to come to a training?
No, our training programme is funded by te Whatu Ora and totally free, including our e-learning modules, in-person workshops, and in-practice visits.
Who is running this training?
This training programme is run by Qtopia, a LGBTQIA+ social support, education, and advocacy service; and PATHA, an interdisciplinary professional organisation working to promote the health, wellbeing, and rights of transgender people. The project team is made up of both community members and GPs from across Aotearoa, who all have experience working with trans communities, providing gender-affirming care, and supporting practitioners to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to best support their trans and non-binary patients. This training programme is funded and supported by Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand.
